About Me

I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Prior to this, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar, where I was awarded the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF). My doctoral research focused on developing scalable, efficient, and adaptive communication protocols for large-scale IoT systems. Additionally, I have professional experience as a Senior Research Engineer at the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), Government of India, where I contributed to the design and implementation of advanced telecommunication systems.

My broader research interests focus on the design of efficient communication and coordination protocols for ultra-low-power IoT and edge networks, with a strong emphasis on distributed intelligence and real-time system orchestration. I am particularly interested in developing lightweight distributed machine learning algorithms for intelligent IoT edge systems, enabling efficient communication and collaboration in autonomous agent swarms, and designing resource-aware synchronization mechanisms for digital twin environments. My research also explores adaptive data collection strategies, distributed resource management, and intelligent protocol design to build reliable, energy-efficient, and high-performance next-generation IoT systems.

📚 Research

My research primarily focuses on designing and developing efficient protocols for large-scale IoT systems. Currently, I am working on data collection strategies to facilitate digital twin synchronization in Metaverse and on crafting innovative resource allocation approaches to address the complex challenges of IoT-enabled Metaverse systems.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position

Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position for the project: “Distributed Machine Learning for Ultra-Low-Power IoT Networks”. Candidates should possess an M.Tech/B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Prior experience in Machine Learning along with a strong background in Embedded Programming will be preferred. The position is based at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Selected candidates may also be considered for conversion to a full-time PhD program.
